A few days ago I went to a restaurant called sketch for afternoon tea at the glade. I was very excited, as the pictures on the website looked divine. I can tell you now that it did not disappoint.
As soon as you walk in to sketch, you realize that it is no ordinary restaurant. It looked like a cross between Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory and somewhere the Mad Hatter would go on holiday. Even if you’re not much of a foodie, or if you are a little short on cash (it is NOT cheap in there), you NEED to see this place.
If you do, see if they will let you use their toilets. The toilets at sketch are as imaginative and striking as the food served there. I have to say, I enjoyed the toilets in the restaurant next to the glade the most, as they were more original.
The Glade itself was a small room, with attentive and lively staff who were very helpful and gave their opinion if you couldn’t decide what to order. It was generally a lovely environment.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to The Glade at Sketch, and would definately recommend it.
