I feel I should do them justice by describing each one down to the last crumb.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Coffee Eclair<\/b><br \/>\nThe coffee eclair was very delicious. The pastry was delightfully thin. The filling was sweet and really smooth, tasting only slightly of coffee which was good because I don&#8217;t like coffee.<br \/>\nOne of my favourites.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Macaroon<\/b><br \/>\nThis old fashioned pistachio macaroon is definitely in my top three. There was a beautifully thin layer of what tasted like marshmallow and a roased pistachio on the top. I am finding it hard to describe, but It was really very very nice. <\/p>\n<p><b>The Sketch Opera<\/b><br \/>\nThis truly was a remarkable cake. It was comprised of layers of sponge, praline, orange and a layer on the top that tasted like chocolate. This caused it to be a real taste sensation.<br \/>\nFirst, you get the chocolate, which tastes very good to start off with.<br \/>\nThen suddenly, the praline hits you, and the word WOW circles your mind.<br \/>\nFinally, the orange comes in, and you know that flavour itself has really been pushed to the limit. One of my favourites. <\/p>\n<p><b>The Cheesecake<\/b><br \/>\nThe cheese was as soft as the coulis.<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t have anything else to say on this subject because I didn&#8217;t really like the cheesecake.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Fruit Tart<\/b><br \/>\nI very much enjoyed the fruit tart. I thought it was epic. On it there was a blackberry, a raspberry, some flaked almonds, and what really made it for me, a chrystalised redcurrant. The sugar on the redcurrant counteracted its natural sour flavour and caused it to burst when I bit it. It was fabulous. Definitely one of my favourites.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Lemon Meringue Tower<\/b><br \/>\nThis cake was so soft I could barely pick it up. It was sweet and tasted nice, but it didn&#8217;t really blow my mind or anything.<\/p>\n<p>There was also another cake which I don&#8217;t know the name of and find hard to explain. So tough luck to all of you.<\/p>\n<p>The cakes at Sketch contributed widely to the overall experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The cakes at Sketch were truly awesome.
