I have recently added a new contact on BBM. Before I added her, I had no idea who she was, only that she was a friend of a friend. The only reason that I knew what her pin (the code you use to add a specific contact) was was because my friend (let’s call her ‘A’) had broadcasted (broadcasting is sending a message to more that one person at once) it. A’s friend (let’s call her ‘B’) probably asked A to broadcast her pin, so she could get more contacts.
\nNow I assumed that a close friend of a person I know would not be a complete psychopath, so I sent her a contact request.
\nShe accepted.
\nAfter a few days, I realised that if I didn’t do something, we probably weren’t going to ever make contact with each other, and we would just be sitting there on each others contact lists.
\nSo I say ‘Hey’
\nAnd she says ‘Hey x’
\nAnd then we launch into a conversation that I would have with any of my friends, I said Wuu2, she was doing english homework, blah blah blah, etc. It was like we actually knew each other, or we were both pretending to know each other (which we were). It was very strange.
